Welcoming Dr. Kim Tucker, MD
The University of Arizona Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is excited to welcome Kim Tucker, MD, to our team. Dr. Tucker is a nationally recognized orthopedic hip and knee replacement specialist with 14 years of experience.
In addition to her accomplished career as an orthopedic arthroplasty surgeon, Dr. Tucker is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the field of orthopedic surgery. Her practice has been based in our Tucson community throughout her career, and she brings to our department her expertise and commitment to providing excellent patient care for all.
Dr. Tucker attended the University of Michigan and the University of Arizona for her undergraduate studies. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2003. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Arizona and completed her Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Tucker is the producer and a host of the podcast The Cut, a production of the Journal of Arthroplasty. She is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, has served on its board of directors and produces videos and other media for the organization, and currently serves on the board of directors for the North American chapter of AO Recon, a global network of orthopedic surgeons committed to best-in-class education in joint preservation and replacement.
Outside of work, Dr. Tucker enjoys skiing and cycling with her family.
