Mission Statement
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship is committed to training the next generation of leaders in sports medicine through a one-year, ACGME-accredited program rooted in academic excellence, clinical rigor, and a team-based approach to care.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive education in the prevention, diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.
We aim to develop well-rounded orthopaedic sports medicine physicians who are skilled, confident, and compassionate practitioners — and who will serve as future leaders and educators in our specialty.
Upon successful completion of the fellowship, graduates are eligible to sit for the Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (CAQ), a formal recognition of advanced expertise in the field.
