Athletic Trainer Honored for Life-Saving Actions at High School Soccer Game
Banner – University Medical Center Tucson is proud to recognize the heroic actions of Athletic Trainer Natosha Booth, who recently saved a referee's life during a high school soccer game.
Booth, an athletic trainer at Walden Grove High School in the Sahuarita School District, was working an evening soccer game on the first day back from holiday break when a referee experienced a sudden cardiac emergency. Without hesitation, she immediately provided critical life-saving interventions while waiting for first responders to arrive.
Her quick thinking and decisive actions saved the referee's life, demonstrating the vital importance of proper training and community teamwork that extends beyond hospital walls.
The Sahuarita School District, Walden Grove Fire Department, EMT crew, and Banner University Medicine jointly recognized Booth's heroic efforts at a recent school board meeting.
Natosha's actions remind us of the life-saving capabilities our team members possess and the profound impact they have on our community.
