March Ortho Madness 2026
The University of Arizona Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Department at Banner is announcing March Ortho Madness 2026, which will be occurring on March 27th and 28th. On the first day, the event will be held at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Innovation Building, and on the second day, it will be held at the Oro Valley El Conquistador Golf Course. March Ortho Madness is meant to increase community impact, education, and innovation. In order to secure the future of orthopedic care, the event brings together leaders, innovators, educators, and the community. This weekend is part of the department's effort to help everyone in the community live a healthy life, whether that is through training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals, helping a patient walk again, or getting an athlete back in their sport.
Day One: Innovation Day – March 27, 2026
Innovation Day is the kickoff of March Ortho Madness. This is an educational event that centers on innovation and new ideas in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The event will feature discussions on innovation, research, and the future of patient care. It will bring together faculty, surgeons, residents, students, and industry representatives in sessions led by professional speakers. The sessions will cover various aspects such as innovation in surgery, sports medicine, biomechanics, robotics, and research. Innovation Day will feature mentorship and teamwork, demonstrating Banner Health’s and University of Arizona’s dedication to excellence in patient care and academic excellence.
Day Two: Golf Charity Event & Community Connection – March 28, 2026

The second day of March Ortho Madness is a Golf Charity Event and Luncheon. It is an easy way to get to know your healthcare leaders, community partners, and supporters in a fun and enjoyable way. The day is meant to create relationships while raising money for innovation, education, and community healthcare programs. The money raised from the golf tournament is used to support orthopaedic education, research, and outreach programs. This ensures that quality care is always available to the people of Southern Arizona. No matter who you are and regardless of your economic background, the department is committed to serving the entire community with care and excellence.
