Welcoming David Haddad, MD, to Our Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship
The University of Arizona Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is delighted to welcome Dr. David Haddad as our second Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellow, beginning in August 2027.
David's journey with us began as a Wildcat medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Tucson, and he has continued to excel throughout his orthopaedic surgery residency in our program. An outstanding student, a talented resident, and now our chief resident, David has consistently distinguished himself through his intelligence, strong work ethic, academic achievements, and unwaveringly positive attitude.
Beyond his clinical excellence, David has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to research, innovation, and improving clinical workflows. His numerous research contributions and publications reflect his intellectual curiosity and dedication to advancing orthopaedic care. Equally impressive is his passion for teaching and mentoring junior residents and medical students, making him a valued educator and role model within our department.
David has already demonstrated the maturity, initiative, and clinical judgment of a fellow and junior attending. We are proud of his accomplishments and excited to see him continue to grow as a surgeon, educator, and academic leader.
Having watched David develop from a medical student into an outstanding chief resident, we could not be more excited to welcome him into the next chapter of his professional journey. We look forward to having him continue as an integral member of our team and to supporting his future success in hand and upper extremity surgery.
Welcome to the next chapter, David! We are excited to have you as our next fellow and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
